A History of Ideas

Lion Access Guides

by Kevin O’Donnell

GoodBookStall Review:
‘What is the universe made of? What is the meaning of life? How should we live? This book follows the history of ideas from ancient times to the present day, blending philosophy, religion, ethics and spirituality. An excellent introduction to a fascinating and complex subject.’

So says the publisher, and I was not disappointed. With ‘boxes’ of further information and quotes from many sources, excellent quality colour and black and white illustrations, easily read and understood text, centuries of ideas are set out, till in the 20th century this book overlaps with the Lion Access Guide – Postmodernism as this new thinking became widespread.
