GoodBookStall Review:
Both those who think that 'liturgy' stultifies worship, and that 'worship' is undisciplined liturgy, will find this book very helpful. The author succeeds in his aim that 'those who lead and plan worship will approach the task with renewed vision and confidence'. In eight chapters, he examines Christian worship and liturgy, their sources, the origin of the Eucharist, 'Liturgy and the ordering of time...and of the imagination', basic elements in liturgical worship, and the Eucharist itself. Each ends with some points 'For further reflection' .Selected items for 'further reading' and a decent 'Index' are appreciated. The book is full of information as to the 'whys' of worship and liturgy, and makes suggestions that all can use to help develop their own Church's sacred time together.
