GoodBookStall Review:
C.S.Lewis filled several notebooks of how he was feeling, on the death of his wife. He wrote his intimate thoughts as he argued with himself as a defence against total collapse; a safety valve. Bravely, he let these be published in the form of this book, and though you can feel the heartrending grief as you read, there is also the realisation that the feelings suffered by you, or someone you know, are felt by others too. This book has been in print since 1961, a measure of the need by the bereaved and those that care, to try and find some understanding of what they are feeling.
