GoodBookStall Review:
This book does cover a wide range of important issues relating to bringing up children, which could help those caring for children in whatever capacity to reflect on their own values, attitudes and practices. Rather than giving answers this book seeks to encourage the reader to think through the issues themselves. The strong emphasis on security, self-worth and relationship are welcomed as is the reassurance that we all make mistakes but that does not make us bad parents. The overall aim is to encourage. Helpful and enjoyable to the “competent” parent who is looking for reassurance and help to develop their skills but it would not be for those with more fundamental problems with child care.
