GoodBookStall Review:
This is an interesting and provoking book about the Archbishop of Canterbury by one known to be provocative. Sometimes humorous, sometimes almost scathing about the person, it does give us an insight into the way Rowan Williams ideas have developed over the years and through his many posts. The Archbishop has been influenced by many varied sources and Theo Hobson sums up these diversities by allowing thinking that perhaps RW has an almost anarchical mind about the good old CofE! He also pinpoints the fact that the Archbishop is trying to deal with very many ideas, traditions and ways of looking at things in a church that is rapidly changing, in fact the biggest change since it began; a book that is well worth the read.
