Like some other titles in this category these are stories true to their source, the Bible, but re-told with the imagination of a modern day story teller. I listened enthralled to those original broadcasts at ‘five to ten’ in the early sixties, even when my family was increasing from two to four small children, everything stopped. That distinctive voice still sounds in my ears as I read all these years later. I hope this reprint of the two books that came originally from those radio scripts, will come to the attention of many new readers, and give pleasure afresh to those who are familiar with them.
