Signs of the Times offers such a look. Have you considered the icons of our times; txt messages, bottled water, the loyalty card, the tattoo, email spam, famous logos? This book helped me to look more closely at how these icons can be seen almost everywhere, giving me an insight into the spiritual state of our culture. I was left with a challenge to what I ‘follow’, notably do I see the cross and the empty tomb as powerful icons of today, or have they largely vanished?
