The Editor's Page...

We are steadily increasing the number of pages looked at on our website but of course we wish it were more. In January 2010, 118,549 pages were looked at.

There are now over 5,000 reviews on the site of every sort and description. Within each category are titles from different denominations and reviews written by different reviewers. If you want to know more about these reviewers then look on the ‘About Us' page where you will find a short piece about each of them.

Many of the older books, those lower down our pages, may now be out of print and only available second hand, but some favourite titles are being brought back into circulation by publishers such as SPCK who are reprinting titles in their ‘classics' series, so watch out for them.

Have you read any Christian fiction lately? I have found these stories a great way of switching off from more serious pursuits, and gaining insights into other lives and sometimes look up locations on websites, having got very involved with plots and needing to know more information about the area in which the story is set.
The majority of adult fiction titles are coming from American publishers but not all; those we review have been found to be very enjoyable by a UK reader. ‘Clean' stories with Christian characters, of every type; adventure, mystery, thriller, fantasy and romance are all there, set in all parts of the world.

Christian Bookshops are going through very difficult times. Please do support them as much as you can, even when you have to pay a little bit more for a book. The shops are not just selling goods, they are ministering to people who would not go into a church but find the shops ‘safe' places to air their concerns. They are truly ‘church on the High Street' and are sorely missed when forced out of business by high costs and low sales.

Please encourage your church to put a link to our site  on their website.

The more people we can reach, the more worthwhile our endeavours.

If you wish to use our reviews in any way help is available to help you do so, just ask.

Contact me if there is anything I can help you with, I would welcome hearing from you.

Or perhaps you would like to review for us?

The only reward our reviewers have is to keep the books they review and the editor's decision of whether a review is included is final.
